Risk & Intelligence FAQ
How addr.red separates risk severity from intelligence confidence.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What is Risk Score? | Risk Score measures material address risk from Risk Flags and on-chain Risk Indicators. Low = 2, Medium = 4, High = 6, Critical = 10. The score is capped at 40. |
| How are duplicate risks counted? | The same canonical risk category is counted once using its strongest contribution. Different risk categories are added together. |
| What is Intelligence Score? | Intelligence Score measures confidence in source-backed intelligence, not risk severity. It uses the strongest Source Reliability for a claim plus a bonus for independent sources supporting the same claim. |
| How is Intelligence Score calculated? | Unrated starts at 40, Unproven at 60, Reliable at 80, and Trusted at 100. A second independent source adds 10, a third adds 15, and four or more add 20. The score is capped at 100. |
| What do the Source Reliability stars mean? | ☆☆☆ Unrated means the source has not been sufficiently assessed. ★☆☆ Unproven means it has evaluation history but has not met the Reliable threshold. ★★☆ Reliable means strong historical performance. ★★★ Trusted is the highest level. |
| Why can Risk Score be high while Intelligence Score is lower? | The two scores answer different questions. Risk Score describes severity. Intelligence Score describes confidence in the source-backed evidence. |
| What does No intelligence mean? | No source-backed intelligence is currently attached to this address. It does not mean the address is safe or risk-free. |
| What does Limited Data mean? | Some Risk Indicator checks could not be completed with available data. The displayed Risk Score reflects only the checks that could be evaluated. |
| What is Deep Web Analysis? | Deep Web Analysis is a Pro and Enterprise on-demand enrichment. It runs only enabled Deep Web Analysis sources when you start it from an Address Profile. Its results do not directly change Risk Score or Intelligence Score. |
